Personal and Professional Path

Jamison R. Banna was born and raised in Kalispell, MT, in the Flathead Valley. He was an excellent student-athlete during his time at Flathead High School. He was awarded a full-ride Track & Field Scholarship at Montana State University, where he excelled as an NCAA Qualifier, Big Sky Conference Champion, and High Hurdle record-holder for 28 years. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Jamison was inducted into Kalispell's Legends Stadium Wall of Fame in 2011.
Jamison has been happily married for 34 years and is the proud father of five children, one of whom has special needs and has been diagnosed with Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome. His experience has made him acutely aware of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and their families, and he is passionate about advocating for them.
Jamison received a business degree from Montana State University, where he focused on Management, Accounting, and Information Systems.
In 1998, Jamison established his accounting firm, offering services such as Accounting, Tax Preparation, Financial Planning, Estate Planning, and Business Formation and Structure.
Over time, Jamison recognized the importance of taking a comprehensive approach to managing his client's personal and business financial affairs. Therefore, in 2010, he incorporated Investment Management and Insurance. He sold his Tax and Accounting Firm in 2017 to Anderson ZurMuehlen (Pinion) to concentrate solely on Financial Planning, Investment Management, Insurance, Tax Consulting, and Financial Education. During the transition, Jamison's three staff and over 250 clients were taken care of well.

Jamison is passionate about financial education and is currently an instructor through The Society of Financial Awareness (SOFA). He has created and offers retirement, investment, financial planning, tax, and risk management classes at the University of Montana for local businesses and organizations, as well as online. He aims to educate people about the complexities surrounding retirement risks and proper financial planning. Jamison finds great satisfaction and enjoyment in empowering people to make the best-informed decisions about their financial affairs.

Jamison's vast knowledge in tax, investments, insurance, personal and business structure, estate planning, financial analysis, and accounting enables him to provide the plan, structure, and guidance his clients need to reduce their tax burden, save for retirement, plan for the unknown, and have more security and quality of life while preparing for or living in retirement. This real-world experience makes him a unique, thought-provoking, and excellent instructor.
